The AgriECO portal is dedicated to philanthropic initiatives promoted by the Environment Area in the field of sustainable and social agriculture. This space collects, documents, and makes accessible the actions undertaken to promote innovative, inclusive, and agroecology-inspired farming practices.
Through this digital archive, it is possible to explore projects that embrace agroecology, agricultural multifunctionality, and the rehabilitation of abandoned lands. The documented initiatives reflect a commitment to integrating agriculture with ecosystem and social services, creating new employment and training opportunities in rural areas.
The portal also features a section dedicated to the outcomes of completed projects, with details on the impact generated, such as the extent of rehabilitated land, the social inclusion pathways activated, and the improvements in biodiversity and soil health. An added value is the comprehensive archive of the Metropoli Agricole conference editions, which since 2013 has fostered dialogue on the challenges of agriculture in urban and peri-urban contexts.

- Enhance the competitiveness of agricultural systems from a sustainability perspective and promote job creation in the areas involved;
- Support farmers in carrying out conservation activities and protecting habitats related to production, and more broadly, in land stewardship and care;
- Encourage approaches inspired by agroecology and the circular economy, aimed at safeguarding agro-biodiversity.
